There's no place like Rome
for a Russian Orthodox Church.
The first Russian Orthodox church in Rome will be consecrated on April 19, with Metropolitan Kirill of Smolensk presiding.
After the consecration, the Divine Liturgy will be celebrated in the new church for the first time on April 23: Easter Sunday on the Orthodox calendar.
Neat. It has been nearly 1000 years since the Orthodox and the Roman Churches split. Hopefully living side by side in Rome, we can grow closer together.
