Anniversary of Innovation

Dear Readers, I apologize for missing one of the most important anniversaries there is.

May 10th was the 29th anniversary of the issue of the patent on the comb-over.

I know what you are saying. Come on, Andrew, you've got to be kidding me.

On May 10th, 1977 the United States Patent Office indeed issued Patent #4,022,227 on the "Method of Concealing Partial Baldness" (Full PDF version with images here)

I first learned of this patent last year in a lecture on patents and intellectual property as part of my senior Design course at UM.

So happy belated comb-over day!

Hey Andrew, I think I will just give the Comb-over post the brush-off, but regarding "duh vinchi", it is too bad that the Church(Bishops) and folks like Shea and Wellborn have to make a living refuting Dan Brown's excrement. It seems like more of an indictment of the state of catachetics or lack thereof that has taken place in the world, especially in the last forty years. That is the real fish we should be frying and then the Dan Brown's of the world would have to survive on their artistic merit alone, rather than the hyped up anti-Catholic offerings being spewed out of Hollywierd and by confused authors and devoured by equally confused readers/movie-goers.
