Sure but is he Mighty?

The Tigers optioned Shelton to Toledo where he will get back his powerful swing and he will be back within a couple of years. Detroit picked up Pirate Sean Casey in exchange for Brian Rogers.

We traded a AA RHP for a veteran 1B with ~.300 career BA? Granted it is a 2 month rental, but that is a steal. (NB: Though RHP Brian Rogers is young enough to be Kenny Rogers' son, they are not related. No chance for a father-son pitching duo anyway. But they could have been the best unrelated "brothers" since Wallace and Wallace. Which is now Wallace and Mohammed?)

It will be exciting to see how Casey blends into this already hot team. Hopefully there will be joy in Detroit.

On another note. 2006 Best NBA record: Detroit, Best NHL Record: Detroit, current Best MLB record: Detroit. Hopefully the third time is the charm and we will have a successful October.

Now we just need the Lions to have a league-leading season. Well... 3 out of 4 isn't that bad.
