Then again...

Maybe I'm not so sure about that DeVos guy.

California to Michigan: Screw you!

California seeks to screw over struggling automakers.

California as you may remember is where Jenny Granholm used to live (since her family moved there from Canada when she was 4.) That is before she failed to establish herself as an actress and instead focused on politics.

If only she has landed a role in Fast Times at Ridgemont High we could have been spared of her tenure as governess.

California, bad for Michigan.

Mystery Object

I think I know what the mystery object is.

Detroit Sports

They may not be pretty but at least they're relevant.
My ESPN RSS feeds:

Islam insulted by insinuation of violence, responds with violence.

This is just so rediculous.

Al Qaeda continues to ask for it.

"We tell the worshipper of the cross (the Pope) that you and the West will be defeated, as is the case in Iraq, Afghanistan, Chechnya," said a Web statement by the Mujahideen Shura Council.

"We shall break the cross and spill the wine ... God will (help) Muslims to conquer Rome ... (May) God enable us to slit their throats, and make their money and descendants the bounty of the mujahideen," said the statement, posted on Sunday on an Internet site often used by al Qaeda and other militant groups.

It just goes to show you that nothing has changed in 600 or so years (and then some)

Here are the dreaded words of death.

"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached". The emperor, after having expressed himself so forcefully, goes on to explain in detail the reasons why spreading the faith through violence is something unreasonable. Violence is incompatible with the nature of God and the nature of the soul. "God", he says, "is not pleased by blood - and not acting reasonably (σὺν λόγω) is contrary to God's nature. Faith is born of the soul, not the body. Whoever would lead someone to faith needs the ability to speak well and to reason properly, without violence and threats... To convince a reasonable soul, one does not need a strong arm, or weapons of any kind, or any other means of threatening a person with death...".

Compare with Al Qaeda and others' response. It is a non sequitur for them to be offended and to react in the way that they do. It is a bit of irony that escapes these "thin-skinned bronze-age fanatics" to use Mark Shea's epithet.

Christians be prepared to defend your faith with your life if necessary. Pray for the strength.

St. Michael the archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou oh prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into Hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.

Amen

Remember also to pray for your enemies and those who persecute you.

For the sake of His sorrowful passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

The Niño

Si, El Niño, which is Spanish for "The Niño" has returned.

Apparently the mild hurricane season is due to El Niño. I thought Bush just turned down the hurricane machine since it was a midterm election year.

Of course El Niño is caused by what else but global warming.

Granholm, Wrong on just about everything

Hey friends,

This helpful page will show you how Jennifer Granholm is wrong on matters of Catholic teaching.
This of course is relevant to all Christians, as the teachings on these moral issues vary little among mainstream Christianity.

She is also wrong on pretty much everything else. From her wardrobe to her negative attacks that have no merit.

Join the team for change!

Web Comic

Here is my first web comic.
I probably won't do it too much as it is very time consuming.
I came up with the idea as I was stuck in traffic. It's not quite as awesome as it was in my head, but here it is.
